Storm Large is an American singer, songwriter, actress and author. She is well known for being a contestant on “Rock Star: Supernova”, the CBS reality television show. Currently, Storm is all up for giving a hard time to all other competitors at NBC’s reality show “American Got Talent”.

Early life 

She was born on 25 June 1969 and raised in Southborough, Massachusetts, United States. Her real name is Susan Storm Large. Her hometown is San Francisco, California, United States and currently resides in Portland, Oregon. She is the daughter of Henry Large, while there is no detail of her mother. Furthermore, she has not disclosed the details of her siblings in the public. Her father was a history teacher and also coached the football team before he retired.

To showcase and embrace her inherent talent, Storm went to St. Mark’s School, a prestigious private school from where celebs like Ben Bradley, Prince Hashim of Jordan and Franklin Delano Roosevelt III studied. She completed her graduation from there in 1987.

To gain the knowledge she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. After shifting to Portland in 2002, she began to have self-doubts and was about to quit singing and enrolled at the Western Culinary Institute but somehow managed to continue her singing.


 Storm formed a band called Flower SF. She performed with Michael Cavaceno and recognized as due Storm and Michael. She later joined Shaunna Hall of 4 Non Blondes and P-Funk as a rhythm guitarist.

Taking about her band, The Balls is also known as Storm and Balls formed in May 2002 as she relocated to Portland. The Band performs Lounge-core, mashup renditions of artists such as ABBA, Black Sabbath, Cheap Trick, Billy Idol, Led Zepplin, Motorhead and Olivia Newton-John.

Besides, Strom also emerged in the San Francisco Bay Area with her previous bands Strom Inc., Storm and Her Dirty Mouth, and Flower SF. Large is well known for being a participant on Rock Star: Supernova. But she got eliminated on 6 September 2006. Following his elimination from the show, host Dave Navarro recorded a guitar track for his single “Ladylike”.

Large performed The Star-Spangled Banner at the finale of the second season of the ESPN reality television show The Contender. , he sang the national anthem at the start of their 2006–07 NBA season home game at the Portland Trail Balzers on November 4, 2006.

Additionally, Strom also appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on September 11, 2006.

From 10 November to 22 December 2010, she had seen starring in Randy Newman’s Harps and Angels. She played a cameo role in the feature film “Bucksville”. The Pink Martini singer went on a musical tour with the band as a temporary replacement from July 4 to December 16, 2011, After which she underwent surgery.

In 2013, she joined the band for the album “Get Happy” and was the co-lead vocalist on the follow-up world tour.
