Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma but spent the majority of her childhood in Tokyo, Japan. Her journey into American television started with a co-hosting gig on Attack of the Show, followed by appearances on The Daily Show and The Newsroom, where she grew in popularity.

Lisa Olivia Munn was brought up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 3, 1980, to a U.S father and a Vietnamese-born Chinese mother. Her mom, Kim, remarried when Munn was just two years old to an American Air Force man, who later took the family to Tokyo, Japan.

Munn debuted in Hollywood as a novice in films such as Scarecrow Gone Wild (2004) and The Road to Canyon Lake (2005). Big Stan (2007), directed by Rob Schneider, and The Slammin’ Salmon (2009), directed by the Broken Lizard comedy team, both provided opportunities to work alongside actual industry talent.
